The Mayflower is one of history’s most famous ships and this year marks the 400th anniversary of it setting sail on 16th September 1620 from Plymouth, England to voyage across the Atlantic Ocean to America, known to English explorers at the time as the New World. There were 102 passengers on board and approximately 30 crew members.

To commemorate this occasion, the Plymouth office started a new indoor cycle challenge on Thursday 16th January 2020 in aid of the Mayflower 400 celebrations. The Plymouth office will cycle the distance of The Mayflower’s journey, from Plymouth, England to Plymouth Bay, Massachusetts, America, being approximately 2,750 miles. They are aiming to complete the challenge by 16th September 2020, the date and month on which The Mayflower began its voyage.
